About us | He kupu mō mātou
Whareroa is one of our largest sites. Along with a 7-hectare distribution centre and over 1000 employees, our site boasts a total of 11 plants which includes four milk powder plants, two cheese plants, a cream plant, a anhydrous milk fat plant plus a whey protein and casein plant. We have the capability to process an impressive 12 million litres of milk per day in peak season.

About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
We have an exciting, fixed term opportunity to join our Whareroa team as a Site Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career at Fonterra, with a variety of potential career pathways available across our Co-operative.
You'll become part of a busy, proactive site team, supporting the dynamic and ever-changing environment of one of our largest manufacturing sites.
As the face of our Whareroa site, you'll provide reception cover and deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, contractors, customers, and shareholders. You'll play an integral role within our Support team, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the site through:
Coordinating site inductions and issuing security access cards
Managing stock ordering and inbox administration
Supporting light fleet administration
Assisting with a variety of administrative projects
Coordinating events and seamless site visits for shareholders and customers
Providing general administration support across the wider site team

We welcome fresh ideas and a continuous improvement mindset, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to contribute, build relationships, and get involved in the local community.
This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity until July 2027, working Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm.

About You | Mōu
We’re looking for an engaging and approachable professional who enjoys supporting others and creating a positive experience for everyone they interact with. You'll bring a proactive, can-do attitude, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy manufacturing environment.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
At least 3 years’ experience in a reception, administration, or customer service-focused role.
Strong computer skills, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine customer-focused approach and collaborative mindset.
Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
A high level of initiative, accountability, and the confidence to work independently when required.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities and business needs.
A reliable work ethic and a positive attitude that contributes to a supportive team environment.
