About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
Reporting to the Projects Delivery Manager, you will work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of capital projects across the regional portfolio.
As an Engineering Project Manager, you will lead engineering projects across our Lower North Island manufacturing sites, taking projects from concept through to implementation. You'll build strong relationships and high-performing project teams to deliver successful outcomes while facilitating change through effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse range of engineering projects, leading initiatives that enhance the sustainability, safety, quality and reliability of assets across our operations. Your work will be highly visible to senior leaders and will play a key role in supporting the future performance and success of Fonterra.

About You | Mōu
To be successful in this role, you'll bring strong engineering and/or project management experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment. You'll be confident leading complex projects end-to-end, from concept design and costings through to delivery, implementation and operational readiness.
You'll be someone who can build strong relationships, bring people together, and keep projects moving through effective planning, prioritisation and decision-making. You'll also be comfortable working with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and technical specialists to deliver safe, practical and commercially sound outcomes.

The key to your success will be:
• A process, mechanical or electrical engineering degree, or equivalent qualification and experience relevant to industrial project delivery.
• Proven experience in engineering, industrial operations or capital project environments, ideally with 10+ years' experience delivering complex capital projects, including projects valued at up to or exceeding $15M.
• Experience delivering capital projects, including project planning, budget management, resourcing and implementation.
• A project management certification such as PMP, Prince2 or CAPM would be advantageous.
• The ability to lead and manage multiple projects at different stages of delivery.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to scope, cost and prioritise projects effectively.
• The ability to manage change and see tasks through to completion.
• Experience supporting business case development, project planning and forecasting.
• A practical approach to safety, quality, design and operational readiness.
• Excellent collaboration, influencing, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating, motivating and leading cross-functional teams.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office tools, with Microsoft Project experience beneficial.
