About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
 
As Director Group Communications and Fonterra Brand, you will shape how Fonterra is understood by farmers, employees, customers, partners and communities in New Zealand and around the world.

Reporting to the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer, you'll work closely with the Fonterra Management Team to bring our strategy, priorities and performance to life through clear, compelling communication. At its heart, this role is about creating understanding, building confidence in our direction and strengthening trust in Fonterra.

With responsibility across executive, employee, corporate and farmer communications, you'll connect the many conversations across our Co-op into a clear and consistent story. Whether supporting leaders through change, navigating complex issues or strengthening our reputation with key stakeholders, you'll help ensure Fonterra is represented with clarity, credibility and impact.

This is a highly influential leadership role with the opportunity to shape how we engage with our people, communicate with our stakeholders and tell the story of one of New Zealand's most recognised organisations.

Your impact

  • Bring Fonterra's strategy, priorities and performance to life through clear and engaging communication.
  • Build understanding, trust and connection with farmers, employees and key external stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior leaders to navigate communication, reputation and business challenges.
  • Lead communication through change, helping people understand what matters and why.
  • Strengthen communications capability across the Co-op, creating greater alignment, consistency and impact.

About You | Mōu

You are an experienced communications, corporate affairs or reputation leader with a track record of influencing outcomes in large, complex organisations.

You know how to turn complexity into clarity and bring people together around a shared direction. Equally comfortable in the boardroom and on the ground, you're a trusted advisor who can navigate sensitive issues, build relationships and communicate with confidence across a wide range of audiences.

You'll bring:

  • Significant experience in corporate, executive, employee or stakeholder communications.
  • Credibility and sound judgement when working with senior leaders and Boards.
  • Experience managing reputation and communicating through change.
  • A talent for building alignment, engagement and trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A collaborative leadership style and enterprise-wide perspective.

Most importantly, you understand that communication is more than messaging. It is a powerful tool for building trust, creating alignment and helping organisations perform at their best.
