About the role 

The Foodservice business is a key growth pillar for Fonterra Vietnam with ambitious targets to achieve double-digit growth in both volume and EBIT annually. This role plays a critical part in driving channel expansion and customer engagement across the Foodservice segment.

As Assistant Food Service Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing customer-centric marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, deepen customer engagement, and boost sales performance. Acting as a vital link between brand marketing and sales, you will ensure that all initiatives are tailored to customer needs and channel dynamics.

Please note that this is a contingency role and the successful candidate will be placed on an agency’s payroll.

Key Accountabilities

1. Strategic Marketing Planning
  • Develop and implement customer and channel-specific marketing strategies in collaboration with the sales team to meet business growth targets.
  • Lead go-to-market plans for new product launches and seasonal campaigns.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and inform annual planning.
  • Align product offerings with market demand through close collaboration with sales, advisory chefs, and operations teams.
2. Customer Engagement & Activation
  • Plan and execute nationwide and seasonal campaigns, trade shows, events, and customer engagement programs.
  • Partner with Technical Advisors to develop new menu ideas and organize technical demonstrations and workshops.
  • Support new product launches with tailored marketing materials and presentations for key accounts, enabling customers to effectively market AFP products.
  • Manage event logistics, materials, and post-event reporting to ensure strong ROI and a seamless customer experience.
3. Product Innovation & Category Management
  • Support the FS Marketing Manager in category management and market intelligence initiatives.
  • Analyze customer data to generate insights that inform marketing strategies and product positioning.
  • Drive innovation within the product portfolio as part of long-term strategic planning.
  • Develop sales tools, POS materials, and finished goods concepts in collaboration with the Chefs Team.
  • Coordinate the development and approval of Vietnam-specific product artwork with Regulatory and Global teams.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams for new product development using the Phase-Gate process.
4. Marketing Budget & Performance Management
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual dashboards and insight reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Track and optimize marketing performance, including campaign KPIs, customer engagement, and sales impact.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and strong ROI across initiatives.
About You
  • Degree in Marketing or Business.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in customer marketing or product branding, Experience in the food or food ingredients industry, particularly in B2B environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful marketing initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, creative, and highly organized.
  • Self-motivated with strong planning and implementation capabilities.
  • Able to make decisions, build consensus, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel (including pivot tables), and Word.
