Position Description

About Lactalis-Mainland Dairy

Mainland Dairy, the business formerly known as Fonterra’s global Consumer and associated businesses, is now part of the Lactalis Group and known as Lactalis-Mainland Dairy.

Lactalis is a French family-owned business founded in Laval in 1933. Today, it is the world’s leading dairy group, present in 50 countries employing around 85,500 people. It is home to some of the world’s best known global and international dairy brands, including Président, Galbani and Parmalat, and local brands including Anchor, Mainland Cheese and Fresh’n Fruity yoghurt.

Lactalis-Mainland Dairy is a team of more than 4,300 employees, operating 16 manufacturing sites across Oceania, Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Middle East. We make well-loved brands including Anchor, Fresh ‘n’ Fruity and Mainland in New Zealand, Fernleaf, Anmum and Anlene in Southeast Asia and Pauls, OAK, and Cracker Barrel in Australia.

Our passionate and talented team is committed to nurturing the future, unlocking new opportunities, and fostering innovation in nutrition and food.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team at Lactalis-Mainland Dairy in Auckland to own the end to end recruitment in a high volume capacity across our New Zealand Lactalis-Mainland Dairy manufacturing sites and distribution centres for waged positions.

You will partner closely with leaders and People and Culture to plan and deliver recruitment activity, implement fit for purpose attraction and selection solutions, and keep recruitment practice consistent with internal guidelines and principles.

Within the Talent Acquisition team, you’ll be joining a group that works closely together to deliver consistent outcomes and experiences. More broadly, you’ll be part of a team that’s practical, resilient and supportive with a strong sense of ownership and pride in what we make.

We value collaboration, open communication and practical ways of working, and we genuinely want people to bring their own uniqueness to the role and to the team. This is a place where different perspectives are welcomed and where you will be supported to do your best work.

  • Build strong working relationships with hiring managers, site leaders and People and Culture, with regular onsite engagement and clear recruitment plans aligned to operational needs
  • Deliver the full recruitment process including job briefing, sourcing strategy planning and execution, screening to shortlist, interview support and offer negotiation
  • Manage multiple vacancies at once in a repetitive, high-volume environment such as operators, packers, forklift drivers and process workers while maintaining pace, quality and compliance
  • Build talent pools and pipelines for waged roles and engage talent communities to improve responsiveness during peak seasonal production demand
  • Provide stakeholders with reporting and market insights to support workforce planning requirements
  • Coach hiring managers on process, timelines, interview and assessment techniques, and inclusion practices including unconscious bias and DEI
  • Ensure pre-employment requirements are followed and clearly understood as required for the duties candidates will perform

About You

You are an experienced recruitment professional who can work at pace, manage a high-volume portfolio, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and deliver genuine candidate care.

You will bring proven end to end recruitment delivery experience including job briefing, sourcing, screening, interview support and offer negotiation. You will be able to demonstrate experience in high volume, blue collar and/or waged recruitment, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments.

We are looking for a strong communicator, with influencing skills and a genuine desire to do a great job! You’ll have the ability to manage shifting demands across multiple concurrent requisitions, backed by solid problem solving and prioritisation skills.

The person joining the team will be confident with systems (recruitment applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint SharePoint and Teams) data, reporting and insights, and have a keen eye for process improvement and implementing fit for purpose recruitment processes in high volume environments.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Career development and internal opportunities across a global business
  • A team focused workplace in a fantastic culture where your work has real impact
  • A strong commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability
  • Flexible work arrangements where possible

Our Commitment

Lactalis-Mainland Dairy is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religious beliefs, age, or ability.
