About the Opportunity 
Bring iconic dairy brands to life where it matters most - in store and across retail media. As our Shopper Activation Manager, you’ll manage the shopper agenda across our yogurt and culinary portfolio, translating big brand ideas into high-impact executions that drive conversion, growth, and standout presence with New Zealand’s key grocery retailers. You will manage the development and delivery of annual shopper strategic plans (long and short term) in line with total business, category, brand and customer strategies to deliver agreed business KPI’s including sustainable profit growth. Reporting to the Head of Shopper and Digital- Oceania, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the annual shopper strategy and activation plan for key brands (including Anchor, Fresh ‘n’ Fruity and Kāpiti) aligning to category, brand and customer strategies and delivering against agreed KPIs
  • Translate above-the-line brand campaigns into best-in-class omnichannel retail media programs across major supermarket chains, shaping the path-to-purchase from awareness to conversion
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Brand, Category, Insights and Field teams, bringing diverse stakeholders together around one clear direction and ensuring flawless execution
  • Build strong external partnerships with retailers and retail media providers, running regular WIPs to optimise performance and unlock new activation opportunities
  • Own end-to-end BTL delivery: agency briefing and workflow, creative strategy and asset development, budget and materials management, field communications, plus measurement and learnings to continuously lift future campaigns

About You
You’re an insight-led shopper marketer who loves the craft of activation and the payoff of seeing your work land in-store, on shelf, and across retail media. Confident and organised, you’re at your best when juggling multiple stakeholders, moving at pace, and guiding teams toward a shared outcome. You will bring:

  • Significant experience across shopper / trade / marketing / category / sales in FMCG or retail, with proven success delivering shopper strategy and activation
  • Strong retailer interface capability - comfortable influencing customers, retail media account managers, and agencies to get to great work
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage shopper and consumer insights to identify opportunities, shape plans, and deliver strong commercial outcomes
  • Sharp stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills - able to position complex proposals clearly, align competing priorities, and keep delivery on track
  • Strong project management and integrated BTL planning expertise, with the discipline to meet deadlines and the creativity to raise the bar on execution
