About the role

The Sales Excellence Manager reports to the National Nutritional Manager and is responsible for establishing and sustaining a high performing, scientifically credible, and compliant frontline capability across the Internal Medical Sales team and Product Advisors through a governed learning framework. The role leads the design, delivery, and certification of training programs, standardizes core messaging and conversation flows, enables effective training cascade for the Medical Sales team, and develops master training materials for cascade via Agency trainers supporting Product Advisors. The position partners cross functionally to ensure alignment with brand strategy, regulatory, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Sales Capability Development
  • Develop and execute the annual training roadmap for medical sales team. 
  • Conduct competency assessments and certification programs. 
  • Provide scientific and selling skills coaching during joint field visits. 
  • Build and deliver product knowledge training and refreshers. 
  • Ensure all scientific content is accurate, ethical, and compliant.
  • Lead onboarding programs for new nutritional executive.
  • Lead the creation of detailing aid verbatims aligned with the selling skills framework.
Product Advisor Training & Capability Development
  • Design and maintain a governed training framework for Product Advisors to ensure consistent, accurate, and consumer appropriate product communication aligned with brand strategy, regulatory, and food safety standards. 
  • Lead the development of master training materials, including product knowledge, consumer conversation flows, selling propositions, and objection handling guidelines, for cascade via Agency trainers. 
  • Enable and support Agency trainers through structured train the trainer programs, ensuring effective understanding and delivery of approved training content. 
  • Define and implement product advisor competency frameworks and assessment mechanisms to evaluate knowledge, conversation capability, and adherence to training standards. 
  • Partner cross functionally with Brand, Trade Marketing, Medical, and Regulatory teams to ensure Product Advisor training content remains current, compliant, and commercially relevant.
  • Customer & Internal Sales Engagement (Selective / NPD Driven)
  • Partner with Marketing & Nutrition Team to develop launch specific nutrition messaging, talking points, and Q&A guidance aligned with brand strategy, approved claims, and regulatory and food safety standards.
  • Act as a nutrition and product subject matter expert for selected consumer and Internal Sales team engagements during new product launches where advanced or specific knowledge is required.
  • Capture insights from NPD related engagements and Internal Sales feedback to support continuous refinement of training content and capability development
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Science, or Biomedical Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience in experience in medical sales, nutrition field or pharmaceutical.
  • Minimum 2–3 years in training, capability development, or product education.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific or product information into clear, simple, and engaging messages for diverse audiences. 
  • Strong coaching, influencing, and facilitation skills, with the ability to develop capability across Medical, Internal Sales, and Agency supported frontline teams. 
  • Effective objection handling and selling skills, including the ability to coach teams to address stakeholder and consumer concerns confidently and compliantly.
