About Us
Mainland Dairy supports Consumer, ingredient and Foodservice customers through a robust product information and specifications capability embedded within our Australian supply chain. Working closely with manufacturing, quality, commercial and regulatory teams, we ensure product information is accurate, compliant and consistently managed across systems and customer platforms.
With a strong emphasis on food safety, quality, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement, our teams play a critical role in enabling trusted customer relationships and market access.
About the Role
We are seeking a Regulatory Specialist – Product Information on a one-year fixed term contract, to manage and coordinate the end‑to‑end specification review and approval process across Consumer, Ingredient and Foodservice portfolios.
Working under the guidance of the Master Data & Specifications Specialist and in close partnership with Technologists and Technical Managers, this role ensures regulatory‑compliant, accurate and timely delivery of product information to meet customer and regulator expectations.
This role is critical in:
- Managing, coordinating and prioritising product specifications and related documents for review and approval
- Creating, reviewing and maintaining specifications to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance
- Supporting data alignment across product groups through regular specification reviews
- Creating and maintaining inspection plans, targets and limits in SAP, ensuring system and specification alignment
- Coordinating end‑to‑end throughput of specification publishing
- Maintaining product information in customer databases such as GS1 and Bidfood
- Supporting internal and external audits and managing close‑out of actions
- Partnering with key stakeholders to continuously improve specification processes and ways of working
About You
You are detail‑driven, organised and thrive in environments where accuracy, compliance and collaboration matter. You enjoy working across systems and technical teams and take pride in delivering high‑quality, customer‑ready product information. You can demonstrate:
- A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in the food industry, ideally within specifications, regulatory or product information roles
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, food safety and quality management systems
- Experience working with SAP (including QM or specification‑related transactions)
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and meeting critical deadlines
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
- Dairy industry or product knowledge (preferred)
