The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager – Financial Reporting, this 12-month maximum term contract provides critical support during a period of significant transition following the acquisition of Mainland Dairy by Lactalis.
As Finance Contractor – Senior Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring continuity, strong financial control, and high-quality reporting outcomes while supporting both business-as-usual activities and key transition initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering statutory and sustainability reporting in line with deadlines and standards
- Supporting balance sheet integrity through reconciliations and resolution of historical issues
- Leading audit readiness and acting as a key point of contact for external auditors
- Contributing to transition programmes, including implementation of new reporting requirements
- Supporting process stabilisation and knowledge transfer across finance teams
About You
You are a technically strong and hands-on finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and can balance BAU delivery with project-based work.
To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring:
- 8–10+ years’ experience in financial control, statutory reporting or technical accounting
- Strong expertise in balance sheet reconciliations, audit support, and IFRS reporting
- Experience working in high-change or post-acquisition environments
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with auditors and senior stakeholders
