About the Opportunity

To fulfill this role effectively and safely, your responsibilities include:
  • Conducting thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of your truck, ensuring it's in optimal condition, and promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Adhering to all relevant transportation regulations and company policies, especially those concerning safety, cleanliness, and quality control.
  • Operating your truck safely and efficiently to collect milk from farms and deliver it to designated receiving facilities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of your trips, including detailed Runsheets and heavy vehicle work diaries as needed.
  • Identifying and promptly reporting any potential risks, incidents, or near misses encountered during your travels.
  • Representing Fonterra positively by providing exceptional customer service and acting as a brand ambassador in all your interactions.
  • These responsibilities ensure the smooth and efficient transportation of milk while prioritizing safety and professionalism throughout the process.

About You
  • Minimum HC license with MC being Preferred
  • Must Know How to Drive Heavy Vehicles: You should have experience driving big trucks to do this job.
  • Care About Safety: It's important to be serious about safety and tell us if you see any dangers or close calls.
  • Act Professional and Be Friendly: You'll interact with our customers and suppliers, so be polite and helpful.
  • Work Hard and Be Flexible: You'll need to be reliable and able to work different shifts as needed.
  • Be Ready to Learn and Stay Positive: Stay eager to learn new things and take on challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Talk Well with Others: Being able to communicate clearly with your team, bosses, and farmers is important for teamwork.
