Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity 
We’re looking for an experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our IT & Corporate Services Procurement team, based in Auckland or Hamilton. This role plays a key part in delivering value across high profile, strategic initiatives by implementing best practice sourcing strategies and supporting Category Managers through robust, transparent procurement processes.

You’ll lead end to end sourcing activities, including complex RFP/RFI processes, contract negotiations, and vendor selection, ensuring all activity is aligned to governance, probity, and compliance standards. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you’ll provide commercial advice and market insights that support sound procurement decisions and sustainable outcomes.


This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys managing multiple sourcing initiatives, influencing stakeholders, and contributing to impactful, organisation wide outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing sourcing strategies aligned to category plans and business priorities
  • Leading end to end RFP/RFI processes, including evaluation, vendor selection, and recommendations
  • Supporting contract negotiations, renewals, and management activities
  • Managing and engaging stakeholders throughout the full sourcing lifecycle
  • Providing market intelligence, commercial analysis, and procurement insights
  • Supporting high profile and strategically significant procurement initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with governance, probity, and ethical procurement standards
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of sourcing and procurement practices

Mōu | About You 

You’re a proactive and commercially minded procurement professional with a strong track record in sourcing and stakeholder engagement. You thrive in fast moving environments and are confident leading structured procurement processes that deliver value and manage risk.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification (or working towards) in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • 2–3 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or a similar commercial role
  • Demonstrated experience running RFP or RFI processes end to end
  • Proven ability to manage and influence a broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience contributing to or leading high profile sourcing initiatives
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve commercial outcomes
  • Good organisational skills and understand of commercial and legal terms
  • Well developed analytical, written, and interpersonal skills
  • IT procurement experience is highly desirable
