Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Transformation HR Business Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Operations. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and delivery, you’ll lead people workstreams across complex, cross functional programmes within our Operations Office (COO).

You’ll help shape and translate strategic workforce planning, guiding workforce evolution and ensuring we build the capability needed for the next three years and beyond. 

You will collaborate with leadership to shape the operating models of the future and manage projects that transform the way we work. 

As part of our P&C Change & Optimisation Team for Operations, you’ll enable the success of major transformation programmes for our people across New Zealand and the wider Co operative.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shaping future fit organisational design, ensuring structures, roles, and ways of working align with Fonterra’s values, collective agreements, and risk settings
  • Embedding people centred insights and practices into programme delivery 
  • Driving the strategic workforce planning cycle and supporting implementation of future Operations structure, capability, and talent plans
  • Supporting people aspects of Operations Strategy by aligning leaders, and tracking progress across shifts and locations
  • Coaching and enabling leaders to build capability, confidence, and effectiveness through evolving operating environments

Mōu | About You
 
You’re a strategic, people centred professional with deep experience in workforce and organisation transformation, thriving in complex, fast moving environments and delivering change with both care and commercial impact. With a strong consulting and HR transformation background, you’ve partnered closely with senior leaders across large, complex or multi site organisations, applying sound judgment and a calm, structured approach to ambiguity.

Through your experience working within transformation programmes and teams, you’ve led end to end workforce and people change—from organisational and workforce design through to execution and embedding. Passionate about improving how transformation is experienced, you bring expertise in strategic workforce planning, organisational design, and workforce analytics, combined with hands on delivery capability. This enables you to diagnose complex challenges and translate strategy into practical, scalable solutions that strengthen performance and future readiness.
