Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to join the CNI Process Technical team on a permanent basis is available. We are looking for a Process Technologist to join our Edgecumbe site where you will be responsible for providing outstanding technical support to our manufacturing site, plant processes and ensure production are within manufacturing capability and regulatory requirements.
This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skill set through a permanent opportunity and gain exposure to the Edgecumbe manufacturing and GET Process Technical teams.

You will be joining a highly motivated and engaged team who work together to provide solutions to the business. Reporting to the Process Technical Manager - CNI you will act as a technical adviser to optimise plant performance and trouble-shoot production issues that occur during plant operation.

In this varied role your key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide problem-solving and support for process exceptions to help return plant to stable operation and capability
  • Drive the development of new and / or improved processes in manufacturing and commercialisation of technologies
  • Liaise with operating staff to continually identify and drive operating improvements against performance benchmarks
  • Deliver support and leadership for factory-specific, site and region/national improvement projects.

We are looking for a driven individual with a strong technical mindset and passion for process improvement. 
We want to hear from candidates who are interested in growing and developing their skills and experience in the following areas: 

We want to hear from you if you have: 
  • Experience or an understanding of process improvement, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills- oral and written
  • A qualification in Food Technology or Engineering would be advantageous but not essential.
