Whareroa is one of our largest sites. Along with a 7-hectare distribution centre and 1000 employees, our site boasts a total of 11 plants which includes four milk powder plants, two cheese plants, a cream plant, an anhydrous milk fat plant plus a whey protein and casein plant. We have the capability to process an impressive 14 million litres of milk per day in peak season.

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
When our products are ready to ship, we are supported by our team of professional forklift drivers across our New Zealand Distribution Centres.  With safety, customer service and quality at the forefront, their role is crucial in ensuring that we keep our dairy products move around New Zealand and the world.  They are a highly motivated and well organised team who know the importance of getting the right products to the right place at the right time.

Driving modern forklifts, with ultramodern technology supporting them and working across a variety of shift rosters, key responsibilities are:
  • Loading and unloading pallets to ensure they are stored correctly.
  • Picking/packing and sending products to the correct location effectively and accurately.
  • Effective fleet management.
  • Stock quality management.
Mōu | About You
We are looking for a professional forklift operator to join our team on a fixed term basis, for approximately 5 months. You will need to be passionate about what you do, and you will be future focused on making a positive contribution to our business every day.

We'll offer you a varied role, where no two days are the same, and ideally you'll have: 

  • An F endorsed forklift licence and current OSH Certificate or have held in the past
  • Confident with technology
  • Extensive experience working in a fast paced environment.
  • A good dose of physical strength as our products can weight up to 25kg.
  • A minimum of 6 months forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment would be desirable, but not a necessity.
