About the role
Based in Malaysia, this role will report to a Senior Product Development Manager (SEA). 
We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Manager with a food processing / engineering background to help deliver and embed local innovation and product development execution across Southeast Asia. This role is focused on processing-led product development—supporting trials, optimising processing parameters, and enabling smooth scale-up from pilot to commercial across our third-party manufacturing (TPM) network and key customer sites.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners (Innovation, FSQ, Operations, Marketing, chefs) and external parties (TPMs, ingredient suppliers, equipment providers) to implement technical solutions that translate innovation into consistent, scalable products in-market.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:
Product development (processing-led execution)
  • Drive end-to-end technical execution for product development initiatives, with a strong focus on processing parameters and 
  • Support cross-functional teams through prototyping and testing activities 


NPD Scale up through TPM implementation 
  • Enable consistent implementation of innovation across SEA through TPM partners, supporting in-market execution and driving adherence to quality, compliance and delivery expectations. 
  • Lead scale up local innovation execution through scale up manufacturing trial delivery to ensure smooth scale-up from pilot to commercial production
  • Large-scale customer technical support
  • Provide technical support to key customers (including large-scale manufacturers), helping translate product concepts into practical application and scalable production outcomes. 
  • Stakeholder management & external partnerships
  • Collaborate with regional functions and in-market teams to align on deliverables, timelines, and technical requirements
  • Work with suppliers, co-manufacturers and technical service providers to identify and deliver technical solutions (ingredients and equipment capability).

About you (skills & experience)
Must-haves
  • Strong background in food processing / engineering / manufacturing (e.g., food engineering, chemical/process engineering, dairy/food processing).
  • Experience supporting scale-up / manufacturing trials, including translating product intent into reliable processing outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions and external partners
  • Willing to travel across the region approximately 25–30% as required

Nice-to-haves
  • Category exposure across dairy and bakery manufacturing environments (e.g., UHT, processed cheese, butter blends; large-scale bakery/lamination processes). 
  • Experience working with or within food ingredients suppliers / customer technical service environments.
