About the role

A great opportunity exists to join our Maintenance team at our Spreyton Site.

As a Maintenance Fitter, you're responsible for mechanical maintenance across our production lines & processing plant. You'll maintain all machinery to the prescribed level of safety and efficiency and use your problem-solving skills to confidently fault-find and repair breakdowns.

 You will also support key Maintenance & Engineering initiatives such as line setups and continuous improvement programs.

This role will see you work a rotating roster average 38hr week 4 on 4 off (day’s & Afternoon).

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Strong focus on Health and Safety
  • Providing maintenance on all machinery to the prescribed level of safety & efficiency
  • Preventive maintenance and machine setup work
  • Respond to breakdown maintenance efficiently
  • Understand and practice maintenance best practice
  • Work towards a weekly plan on preventative maintenance initiatives
About You

This is a busy role, so you’ll need to be a confident problem solver, have excellent attention to detail and be self-motivated to succeed. As a great communicator, you’ll be someone who can work independently and in a team environment. 

  • Trade qualified in Mechanical Fitting (essential)
  • Exceptional fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • An understanding of Pneumatics and PLC Controls
  • Have come from an FMCG, Food or Pharmaceutical industry background (desirable)
  • Proven mechanical aptitude from your working history
  • Computer literacy - knowledge of MEX will be beneficial
  • Welding experience is also an advantage
