He kupu mō mātou | About us
The Network Planning and Modelling team uses a linear optimisation software (Supply Chain Guru) to consolidate planning data into a single, cost-optimal, and feasible monthly rough cut capacity plan (the tactical logistics plan). This enables collaboration across Global Supply Chain and provides insights into network risks and opportunities. 

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
As the Modelling Lead for our Network Planning and Modelling team, you will be an expert in optimisation and modelling techniques and primarily responsible for leading long-term improvements to the modelling process, enabling the model to be a trusted digital twin of our New Zealand Supply Chain Network.   
 
Other key responsibilities: 
  • Develop and apply expert understanding of the Supply Chain Guru optimiser to deliver modelling improvement initiatives.
  • Identify, design, and implement opportunities to enhance model quality (accuracy, stability, runtime).
  • Collaborate proactively with technology partners (e.g., Coupa) to leverage the latest solver functionality.
  • Utilise Microsoft Fabric and Alteryx to minimise data preparation time and improve data input accuracy.
  • Maintain, improve, and manage all input data requirements for the tactical logistics plan.
  • Build the team’s capability in Supply Chain Guru and Microsoft Fabric by supporting the modelling analysts with troubleshooting and model development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on best-practice modelling techniques.   

Mōu | About You
To be successful in this role you will have sound analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in using Supply Chain Guru, Alteryx and Fabric. You will be able to forward think different scenarios while having risk management at the forefront. In addition, you will have a strong strategic and commercial lens, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders. 

Other skills:
  • Qualification in Supply Chain Logistics or Operations Management (preferred).
  • Advanced capability in Supply Chain Guru or similar supply chain network optimisation tools (e.g., Sophus X, 09 Solutions, AIMMS).
  • Intermediate capability in Microsoft Fabric or similar ETL software (e.g., Alteryx, Power Query).
  • Min of 5 years end-to-end supply chain knowledge and experience (inventory management, purchasing, demand management, network improvement).
  • Data modelling and visualisation skills (e.g., Power BI).
  • People coaching and development experience.
