Located in the heart of the Waikato, our Waharoa site is known for its strong safety culture and operational excellence. The site supports a range of dairy processing activities and plays a vital role in our regional supply chain.

About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
We have an exceptional opportunity for a Process Supervisor to lead our high performing team towards outstanding results in our manufacturing operations.  As one of our smaller sites, you’ll enjoy a close-knit, engaged and welcoming team.

Day to day you’ll be on the factory floor using your leadership experience to supervise and coach a motivated team. Keeping a strong focus on Health & Safety, you’ll monitor all parts of our processing lines while optimising plant efficiency and operating costs. This includes reviewing the process to meet and optimise operational targets, reviewing quality and trends, ensuring sampling and daily checks are being completed and meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.

Core responsibilities:
  • Leading and motivating the team to achieve organisational goals
  • Fostering a culture of, and commitment to, people, food and environmental safety
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the team and coordinating site processes
  • Planning and allocating work and resources to ensure production targets are met
  • Optimising the volume of products and resolving any issues that arise
  • Co-ordinating maintenance of the plant with the maintenance team
  • Creating a successful working environment that inspires the team
  • Involvement with Operational Excellence activities 
*This role is Mon-Fri 6am-6pm.

  • Exposure to leading, developing, coaching, and motivating a team to deliver outstanding results
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills to drive change
  • A strong Health and Safety, Hygiene, and Quality focus
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound and timely decisions under pressure
  • Ability to learn new systems and tech-savvy skills in MS Suite and ideally SAP
