Position Description

About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga

As a Farmer Support Specialist, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality experience for our farmers and Farm Source customers. This is an opportunity to build strong relationships, develop your problem-solving skills, and grow your career within Fonterra.

We’re looking for self-motivated individuals who can work independently, show empathy, and take ownership of customer challenges, turning problems into practical solutions.

A typical day includes:

  • Supporting farmers and customers via phone, delivering thoughtful and effective solutions
  • Responding to emails and online enquiries across a range of topics
  • Working closely with internal teams to resolve issues and improve outcomes

You’ll handle a variety of queries such as tanker collections, milk quality, shareholding, Farm Source accounts, and digital support, giving you broad exposure and building your knowledge.     

Shift Details;

  • Monday to Friday role
  • Rostered shifts between 7am and 6pm (flexibility within these hours is essential) Important Dates
  • Preferred start date: 3rd August 2026
  • Assessment Centres: Candidates progressing through interviews must be available to attend an assessment centre on 24th or 25th June 2026

  • Strong empathy and the ability to confidently manage difficult conversations (face-to-face or over the phone)

  • A customer-first attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Interest in farming or agriculture (preferred but not essential)
