Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
The Export Samples Specialist – Documentation is a critical member of the Fonterra Trade Documentation Centre based in Onehunga. In this role, you will support the Samples Manager to ensure Site Security, Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory compliance requirements are met.

This position has a strong documentation, coordination, and systems focus, providing specialist support across export documentation and sample administration.

Reporting to the Samples Team Leads, your responsibilities will include:
  • Sourcing product and confirming eligibility for destination markets
  • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensuring product samples are labelled, documented, and dispatched within agreed KPIs
  • Tracking cargo and ensuring all relevant stakeholders are kept informed
  • Investigating documentation discrepancies, complaints, or corrections
  • Continually identifying opportunities to improve documentation processes, systems, and sustainability outcomes
  • Supporting site quality requirements, including inspections, audits, and record maintenance
  • Ensuring prerequisite programs supporting the site Risk Management Program are complete and accurate

Please note this is a 12‑month fixed‑term position.

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail‑focused professional who has had exposure to supply chain and/or food safety and quality environments. You enjoy working in a compliance‑driven setting and have the ability to manage documentation accurately while meeting deadlines.

You will bring excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, strong initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Additional skills you will bring to this role include:
  • A positive, can‑do attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and prioritisation capability
  • Advanced Excel skills and SAP experience
  • Exposure to supply chain, documentation, freight forwarding, or related environments
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and written communication skills
