Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity 

This is a 6‑month fixed term opportunity reporting to the Export Documentation Manager. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of export documentation supporting Fonterra’s global dairy shipments. 

You will: 
  • Process and obtain export government clearances for sales and trade documentation 
  • Work closely with internal teams and third‑party authorities to ensure compliance with international codes, country‑specific requirements, and Fonterra policies 
  • Engage with customers and support strategic e‑trade data and automated solutions 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of new technologies such as Machine Learning 
  • Be part of a motivated, collaborative team that values care, innovation, and continuous learning 
  • This fixed term offers a great opportunity to build your export, compliance, and stakeholder engagement experience within a complex global supply chain environment.

You’re a proactive problem solver who enjoys working collaboratively and navigating complex processes. You bring confidence in managing detail while maintaining a customer‑focused mindset. 

You’ll ideally bring: 
  • Experience in export documentation, or a combination of export documentation experience and international supply chain studies 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple requirements and timelines 
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills 
  • A team‑player approach with a positive, “can‑do” attitude 
  • Exposure to international banking and trade finance (advantageous)
