Ata whakaarohia tō āpōpō | Imagine Tomorrow with Us
At Te Mātāpuna Fonterra, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves.

Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration, and contribution.

Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
As the Early Equipment Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to deliver the maintenance readiness function for our site maintenance teams.  This is a core function that ensures new assets are accurately represented across our maintenance systems with the appropriate maintenance strategies and critical spares in place - ready for operational use.

This is a unique opportunity to oversee Early Equipment Management (EEM) across capital projects and asset lifecycle programmes, driving consistency in asset data, documentation and master data standards.  You will work closely with a broad stakeholder group, including Capital Projects, Asset Information, Site Maintenance Teams and external suppliers, to ensure timely delivery and alignment with organisational objectives.

This role will ideally be located in the Waikato or Christchurch.

Mōu | About You
You are a proven leader with a strong background in Engineering and Asset Management.  You are motivated by the challenge of embedding best practice standards in new equipment design, and driving results across diverse stakeholder groups.

To be successful in this role you will bring:
  • Either an Engineering qualification or trade qualification.
  • 10 years + experience in engineering and asset management, including leadership, ideally in manufacturing, processing or utilities.
  • Experience managing diverse stakeholder groups while delivering multiple objectives within constrained timeframes.
  • A deep knowledge of Asset Lifecycle Management and exposure to Early Equipment Management and/or Maintenance Delivery.
  • Proven experience in creating an exceptional team culture built on purpose.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and oversee complex projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills and effective stakeholder management.
