Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity

This is a full-time contract role through to 31 July 2026, where you’ll play a key part in supporting Fonterra’s technical team and driving the successful delivery of network solutions across the business. You’ll be involved in everything from minor enhancements to major site upgrades, ensuring projects run smoothly and align with established standards.
This role offers the chance to work on complex enterprise networks, collaborate with multiple vendors and stakeholders, and contribute to the rollout of cutting-edge technologies like SDWAN and advanced Cisco solutions. If you’re looking for a role where your expertise can make a real impact, this is it.

Mōu | About you

You’re an experienced network professional with a strong background in Cisco technologies and enterprise-scale network design and implementation. You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing technical depth with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ideally, you bring:
  • 7–10 years’ experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage technical delivery and collaborate across teams and vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to mitigating technical risks.
  • Certifications such as CCNP or higher (active or inactive) are highly regarded.
  • Deep technical expertise, including:
    • Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
    • Network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and IP routing.
    • SDWAN deployment and integration experience.
    • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
    • Knowledge of network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus
If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality network solutions and enjoy working on complex projects, we’d love to hear from you.
