Position Description

We are seeking a Modern Trade Executive to deliver sales and growth targets in a defined geographic area by focusing on in-store excellence, ensuring 100% compliance with planogram and promotional execution, and maintaining strong retailer relationships. The role also supports to centrally manage retailer activities and ensures smooth coordination of all territory operations.


Key responsibilities would include:

  • Executing sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Guiding and monitoring the merchandising team to ensure perfect store compliance with planograms, pricing, promotions, and visibility standards.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with store managers and key retail staff to secure additional displays, secondary placements, and promotional support.
  • Overseeing all territory operational tasks including stock management, order processing, issue resolution, and reporting.
  • Supporting the Key Account Managers in implementing centrally planned retailer activities, promotional campaigns, and service level agreements at store level.

You should possess the following:

  • GCE A/L qualification, a Bachelor’s degree in any field or Diploma in Sales/ Marketing would be advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years of front-line modern trade sales experience in the FMCG industry
  • Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or executive role
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English and/or Tamil is an added qualification
