He kupu mō mātou | About us
Established in 1902, Kauri is one of our oldest sites. With three plants, the site processes around 247 million litres of milk a year and processes raw milk into a range of milk powders, whey powders and rennet casein. Our whey powder is used as a source of protein in nutritional powders, beverages and cultured products and the casein is used for processed cheese production. These products are exported to international markets worldwide.

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity
We are looking for a Permanent Process Assistant to join the team at our Kauri site. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are serious about advancing your career and keen to be part of a highly engaged team.

You’ll have plenty of variety in this role, from running diagnostics and problem solving to keeping an eye on quality control and ensuring our plant and equipment is clean. Your great attitude along with your attention to detail and mechanical aptitude will see you succeed in this role.

This is a rostered shift position with work life balance guaranteed. Shifts will be four on – four off including two days and two nights.

Key responsibilities and elements of the role include:

  • Assist plant operators with day-to-day processes
  • Ensure completion of regular compliance activities and documentation
  • Maintain good housekeeping of processing environments
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture.

Mōu | About You
You will be working as part of a dedicated and high performing team and will need to have a strong focus on health and safety. Whilst a sound mechanical aptitude is a pivotal aspect of this role, other ideal skills include:

  • Sound planning and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork ability
  • Self-motivated with good time management skills
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Able to work in a hygienic environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Being physically fit, as some manual lifting is required up to 25kgs.
