He kupu mō mātou | About us
Our Te Awamutu site has a long-established history of milk powder, butter and AMF manufacturing. In September 2020 our Te Awamutu site transitioned away from coal to be powered solely on wood pellets. Once completed, it will reduce our national coal consumption by almost 10%, saving more than 84,000 tons of carbon emissions per year (equivalent to taking 32,000 cars off the road).

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
A full-time permanent opportunity for a L6 Charge Hand has arisen at our Te Awamutu Site.  Utilising your strong leadership and communication skills, you will effectively mentor and develop a small team whilst scheduling daily activities to ensure everything (Daily Execution / LSW) is completed according to plans and policies, assisting with staff training, and focusing on Health and Safety.

Your strong computer skills will allow you to accurately run reports and your confidence in warehouse management systems will ensure you operate our SAP system efficiently, tracking stock smoothly through our stores. Using your ability to plan, organise and problem solve in a fast-paced environment, you’ll ensure all KPIs for the stores are being met.

You will need to be passionate about what you do, and you will be future focused on making a positive contribution to our business every night.

We are looking for an up-and-coming Charge Hand who is forward-thinking, self-motivated and takes pride in their work. Your proven leadership ability and outstanding organisation and planning skills are the keys to your success.

We want to hear from you if you have:
  • Proven leadership ability and exposure to motivating a team to deliver outstanding results.
  • Forklift experience with an F endorsement and current OSH certificate.
  • Ideally experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment
  • Be physically fit - our products are not always light and can weigh up to 25kg.
  • Resilience and a great can-do attitude with a strong health and safety focus.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Tech savvy computer skills ideally in Microsoft Office as well as inventory control and warehouse management systems (SAP).
