He kupu mō mātou | About us
Established in 1881, our Edendale manufacturing site is New Zealand’s oldest dairy processing site and with 13 plants, we produce 14 million bags of milk powder each year for export and process up to 15 million litres of milk every day in peak season.


Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our high performing Maintenance Team at our Edendale site. 
 
With a focus on Health and Safety and maintenance best practice, you’ll use your sound mechanical experience to navigate changing work priorities as well as implement scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure our site performs at its peak each day. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you’ll be responsible for mechanical maintenance services across our manufacturing lines, providing support by maintaining all machinery in alignment with our asset care plans and strategies. You’ll also use your problem-solving skills to effectively fault find and repair breakdowns with confidence as the need arises.

We are looking for a proactive and motivated mechanical fitter who is committed to continuous improvement and achieving excellence in everything they do. 
 
We’d love to hear from you if you have: 
Mechanical Trade Certificate (Level 4 or higher)
Mechanical aptitude with hands on fitter experience 
Exceptional fault finding and problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside of the box
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work as a team and independently
Tech savvy and computer literacy skills, ideally with knowledge of a CMMS such as SAP
Previous experience within an FMCG / food manufacturing or similar environment would be beneficial
