Fonterra’s USA operations, centrally located in Chicago, is a pivotal hub within Fonterra’s international network. Here, we focus on enhancing the supply chain, developing innovative dairy solutions, and building robust partnerships that help deliver New Zealand’s premier dairy products to North America and beyond.

About the opportunity

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape the future of Fonterra’s North American ingredients business, leading a talented team and partnering with some of the world’s most recognized food brands. Reporting to the VP Sales North America you will drive strategic growth, champion customer relationships, and represent Fonterra across the industry.

Lead a dynamic sales team focused on delivering revenue, growth, and customer excellence across the US and Canada
Build strong relationships with household-name customers utilizing dairy ingredients in various applications including ready to drink beverages, nutrition and snack bars, sports powders and confectionary, among others.
Drive initiatives supporting the regional and Co-op strategy through activities including sales training, pricing execution, and commercial development across North America
Represent Fonterra at trade shows and industry events, advocating for our leadership in dairy ingredients
Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams to deliver smart forecasting, sales execution, and customer volume planning

About you

You’re a strategic and people-focused sales leader who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments. You bring a strong background in food ingredients and a passion for building high-performing teams.

Proven experience leading sales teams in matrixed or international environments, ideally in food ingredients
Skilled in customer engagement, strategic planning, and navigating complex stakeholder relationships
Comfortable driving change, setting clear expectations, and fostering a culture of trust and accountability
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence across functions and regions
Culturally adaptable and excited to work across diverse teams and global markets
