We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Darnum site.

Your Purpose:

As a Maintenance Electrician, you’ll use your solid electrical experience to navigate through changing work priorities to plan and implement preventative maintenance initiatives, in our nutritional, whole & skim milk powder processing plant.

You’ll be a key member of the Maintenance Team with a strong focus on Health and Safety and maintenance best practices.

Your forward-thinking, drive, and ability to achieve results will benefit you here, as you’ll have plenty of scope to drive continuous improvement on equipment and process reliability with some of the industry's leading-edge automated technology. 

A natural at coping with change, you’ll be capable of reacting to unplanned breakdowns and troubleshooting issues as they occur. Additional areas of focus may include instrumentation services for the site maintenance of PLC equipment and motors and writing standard operating procedures.

Operating in a fast-paced 24/7 environment, this role is a great opportunity to work as part of a close-knit technical team and test your skills.

Availability for On Call is a requirement.

What you’ll bring

You will need to be a registered A-grade electrician with a current practising licence. Other beneficial skills and experience include:

·         Experience with PLC and instrumentation

·         Strong diagnostic skills and dealing with breakdowns

·         Knowledge of CMMS ideally MEX

·         Knowledge of IWS or TPM would be highly beneficial

·         Proven work experience in a maintenance role (dairy food, farming or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility) advantageous

·         A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement

·         Solid time management skills and be ability to prioritise

·         Experience in general maintenance functions such as equipment repair, failure analysis to root cause and preventative maintenance in an industrial environment
