He kupu mō mātou | About us
Established in 1902, Maungaturoto is one of our oldest sites. With three plants, the site processes around 247 million litres of milk a year and processes raw milk into a range of milk powders, whey powders and rennet casein. Our whey powder is used as a source of protein in nutritional powders, beverages and cultured products and the casein is used for processed cheese production. These products are exported to international markets worldwide.
Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
Joining us as Storesperson in a fixed-term capacity, you’ll be joining a close-knit and high performing team who are on a continuous improvement journey. You’ll develop your skills within our large-scale operation and have exposure to many facets of our Fonterra NZ Manufacturing Stores network and projects. Some travel will be required to our Kauri site on occasion.
With your impeccable attention to detail, your day will focus on receiving and receipting goods into the store, ensuring they are accurately recorded in the ERP system and stored appropriately. There will also be forklift driving required on daily basis.
key responsibilities:
- Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe and effective material handling and movement is obtained completing documentation accurately.
- Dealing with internal and external stakeholder on daily basis.
· Ensuring the accurate movement of all products throughout the stores.
- Demonstrating safe driving practices and following all health and safety measures.
- Contributing as a productive and positive member to our NZM stores
* Please note this role is a fixed term role.
* This role has set day shifts of Monday to Friday – Weekends free!
Mōu | About You
Working as part of a dedicated and high performing team you will have a strong focus on health and safety. We are looking for someone who is a pro-active self-starter with drive and ambition.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills Mechanical aptitude and Leadership experience.
- Tech savvy computer skills ideally in Microsoft Office as well as inventory control (SAP) and warehouse management systems.
- Minimum 6 months Forklift experience with an F endorsement and current OSH certificate
- Experience working in a stores or warehouse is Preferable.
- A good dose of physical strength – our products are not always light and can weigh up to 25kg.
