Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity

We’re building a new Capability Design team that helps people do their best work—by creating learning experiences that are practical, engaging, and drive real-world performance.

As a Senior Learning Designer, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end design process—from guiding discovery and shaping the learning approach, to managing development and ensuring high-quality delivery.

This is a senior role with a strong project leadership focus. You’ll facilitate the design process and coordinate the day-to-day collaboration of cross-functional teams - learning designers, digital designers, and external partners. You’ll also engage with stakeholders across the business and collaborate closely with our consulting and delivery teams to ensure solutions hit the mark.

Beyond project work, you’ll also mentor and support other team members, helping to build team capability and promote consistent design practice. Whether you're designing interactive learning experiences or practical support resources, your work will reflect a deep understanding of user needs and business context, and contribute to the continuous improvement of learning across the organisation.

Mōu | About you

You’re an experienced learning design professional with a relevant qualification in adult learning, education, psychology, or a related field—designing learning that drives performance and behaviour change. With a background in large organisations or complex environments, you’re confident leading large-scale design projects and managing multiple stakeholders.

You bring deep expertise in instructional design and a practical understanding of behavioural science, design thinking, and user-centred approaches. Agile ways of working come naturally to you, and you’re comfortable navigating ambiguity to create clear, effective solutions.

As a mentor and collaborator, you support the growth of others and contribute to team capability uplift. You’re also confident using tools like Microsoft apps and authoring platforms to bring learning experiences to life—always with a focus on quality, relevance, and impact.
