Step into a pivotal leadership role as our Digital Learning Lead and help shape the future of learning experiences across the Co-op.

Reporting to the Head of Capability Design, this position sits at the heart of digital innovation -designing learning solutions that are high-impact, user-centred, and deeply engaging. You’ll guide the digital design approach across projects and mentor digital designers to deliver outstanding, fit-for-purpose outputs.

You’ll be involved from the early stages of discovery and design, ensuring digital opportunities are explored and integrated seamlessly. With a focus on quality, creativity, and collaboration, you’ll help raise the bar for how we use multimedia, UX design, and emerging technologies like AI to support learning and performance across our organisation.

You’re comfortable navigating the full design journey - from early discovery through to polished delivery - and thrive on collaborating across teams and communicating with clarity. You bring a mentoring mindset to creative work, guiding others while staying curious and open to learning yourself. Blending strategic thinking with hands-on digital expertise, you know how to turn vision into engaging learning experiences.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:

• Relevant qualification in design, digital media, education technology, communication, or a related field.
• Strong capability in user experience design, visual design, and digital learning development across a range of formats (e.g. elearning, video, animation, web, social).
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic design conversations, identifying digital opportunities and constraints early in projects
• Skilled in leading UX-focused design activities, including wireframing and prototyping.
• Expertise in relevant design and development tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and digital authoring platforms.
• Up-to-date with emerging tools and technologies, including AI, accessibility standards, and mobile/responsive design best practice.
