Position Description

Imagine Tomorrow with Us | Ata whakaarohia tō āpōpō
At Fonterra Te Mātāpuna, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves.

Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration, and contribution.

Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.

About us | He kupu mō mātou

We love kiwi dairy farmers and think they’re pretty awesome. For generations they have relied on hard work, ingenuity, and each other, to create the kind of goodness that fuels our families, connects our communities and supports our economy.

At Farm Source, our team is driven by the same co-operative spirit that our farmers and their communities share. We make farming easier so farmers can continue to concentrate on what they do best – producing high quality New Zealand milk in the most sustainable way.

This means growing and supporting the right people – people with plenty of roll-your-sleeves up energy to rise to the challenge. Whether you’re on the farm getting your gumboots dirty or connecting over a coffee at our local stores, you’ll be getting the mahi done as part of a trusted team – backed by good people, the right products, innovative solutions, and industry-leading expertise.

So why not join us? Our regional structure and openness to flexible working means that there really is something for everyone.  No matter your age or stage, our inclusive culture has created a place where everyone can thrive.

About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga

By joining our nationwide Farm Source store team, you’re joining a group of agricultural experts and setting yourself up for an outstanding career.

As the newest addition to our local Waipapa store, you’ll provide sound farming product advice to our loyal customers and get stuck into everything from inwards goods to in store customer service. When you aren’t in store, you’ll be out on the road where you’ll have the important role of ensuring that our customers receive their products on time. You’ll be tasked with lifting some heavy products as well as ensuring our customers get the best service; you’ll never be bored in this fast-paced role!

With the opportunity to hone your agricultural expertise and open the door to multiple career pathways throughout the wider business, there couldn’t be a better place to start.

Please note, hours of work will be Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm and rostered Saturdays 9am – 12pm

About You | Mōu
We’re looking for adaptable team players with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine can-do mindset who’ll enjoy a role that keeps them busy and offers the chance for some great farming banter with our friendly customers.

Ideally, you’ll have some prior customer service/sales experience and a connection to the agricultural industry. That said, we’re equally open to those looking to make a move straight off farm or who are current customer experts keen to learn all about the ag/dairy industry.

Sound like you, other key things we’re on the lookout for includes:

  • A full, clean drivers’ licence
  • A good level of physical fitness – you’ll have no trouble lifting 25kgs at one given time
