Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity

At Fonterra, we believe in growing our people and empowering careers. As our People Solutions Lead – Rewards & OD, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our People & Culture shared services, driving excellence across our Rewards and OD portfolio. If you’re passionate about leading change, building capability, and delivering world-class HR solutions, we’d love you to join us on this journey.

This is a hands-on leadership role, where you’ll balance delivery with people leadership. You’ll work directly on tools and processes while leading a small team providing Rewards advice, deploying our annual Salary and Performance cycles, and delivering our organisation-wide engagement survey, alongside a range of broader Rewards and OD initiatives.

You’ll be accountable for end-to-end service delivery, executing processes, managing insights and data, providing expert advice, and developing clear resources and communications. Partnering closely with internal customers, you’ll ensure service standards are met and trusted support is available when it matters most.

In addition, you will:

  • Lead and deliver People Solutions Rewards & OD services, embedding our ServiceNow first mindset and ensuring a high-quality experience for leaders and employees.
  • Own service standards and operational delivery, providing timely, trusted HR advice and strong day-to-day leadership across Rewards & OD.
  • Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of processes, tools, and systems, enabling seamless delivery and effective self-service.
  • Build and evolve our Global People Solutions service, balancing efficient self-service with specialist, in-market support.
  • Partner across People & Culture and the wider business to share insights, align priorities, and strengthen cllaboration.
  • Build capability across the team and our customers through coaching, mentoring, and clear resources.

Mōu | About You

You’re an experienced HR leader with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and a strong track record across HR or related fields. You bring proven people leadership capability, with the ability to interpret strategy and policy and translate it into practical, sustainable delivery.

You’re comfortable operating in complex environments, balancing diverse stakeholder needs, and building high‑performing, engaged teams. You communicate with clarity and confidence, adapting your style to different audiences and delivering messages that cut through complexity.

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong business insight, using data and context to inform decisions and prioritisation.
  • Sound technical capability in planning and organising work, action planning, policy or framework development, and presentation.
