Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity

We’re looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our Payroll Services team in Hamilton.  Reporting to the Operations Lead, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services, while supporting continuous improvement and system optimisation.

This role is available on a 12-month fixed term basis offering full time hours.  

A few areas of focus will be to:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
  • Support and optimise time & attendance systems (including Kronos), maintaining high data integrity
  • Investigate and resolve payroll queries, providing clear and expert guidance to stakeholders
  • Administer ACC claims, including weekly compensation calculations and reconciliations
  • Maintain employee master data and ensure high-quality payroll records
  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and transformation initiatives
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and risk management processes
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to deliver a strong customer experience and business outcomes

  • Experience working in a busy, deadline-driven environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • A strong understanding of working with data and systems, with the ability to investigate issues and problem-solve effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex information in a clear and supportive way
  • A highly collaborative approach, working closely with team members and stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes
  • Adaptability and resilience, with a willingness to learn quickly and improve processes
  • The ability to build strong working relationships and contribute positively within a team environment
